Psychology Student Interns

As demand for professional practice experience increases for students in psychology, there is a corresponding need for more internship sites. The department is interested in expanding its list of internship sites at local businesses and clinically-focused organizations. Increasing the number of internship sites will allow psychology students with varying interests an opportunity to gain valuable experience outside the classroom.

How can you assist in providing such practical learning experiences to our students? Consider sponsoring a professional practice experience in your workplace by supervising one or more interns. Most professional practice experiences are unpaid. Getting paid for the experience is certainly appreciated by the students, but is not expected. Your help in opening your workplace to provide motivated psychology students with practical experience will provide a wonderful opportunity to help these students and the Department of Psychology.
