ISPIC Goals

The mission of ISPIC is to improve the mental health of children, adolescents, and their families by train interns who promote the highest quality educational and mental health services.   In order to achieve its mission, ISPIC has set the following goals:

  1. Goal #1: Commensurate with entry-level professional psychologists, exiting interns will engage in culturally competent service delivery.

    Goal #2: Commensurate with entry-level professional psychologists, exiting interns will consistently integrate research and practice.

    Goal #3: Commensurate with entry-level professional psychologists, exiting interns will solve complex academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health problems.

    Goal #4: Commensurate with entry-level professional psychologists, exiting interns will assume leadership roles in systems change.

    Goal #5: Commensurate with entry-level professional psychologists, exiting interns will engage in ethical/legal practice, on-going professional development, and contributions to the field.
