Scholarships and Awards

Laura Berk Undergraduate Writing Award

Award of $500
Award Criteria: Open to students admitted to the Major in Psychology who have written an empirical research or expository paper in APA style.
Nominations: Psychology faculty may submit nominations to the department's Awards Committee for students who have written appropriate papers. Students who want to be considered for this award must complete the application process.

Edwin A. Payne Memorial Award

Award varies from $200 to $500
Award Criteria: Open to students admitted to the Major in Psychology who have excellent academic records and involvement in campus and/or community activities
Nominations: Interested students should complete the application process.

Walter Vernon Scholarship in Psychology

Scholarship varies from $300 to $900
Scholarship Criteria: Open to students admitted to the Major in Psychology who have completed 30-59 hours by the spring semester and who demonstrate a high level of academic achievement.
Nominations: Students will be nominated by the department based on their academic records. Students who want to be considered for this scholarship must complete the application process.
