The Autism Place

The Autism Place (TAP) is a network of resources in the local community for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders. TAP is funded by grants, donations, the Department of Psychology and Illinois State University. Services are available in a clinic, school, and home settings. The Autism Place is located at 2405 General Electric Road Suite A, Bloomington, IL 61704. You can also reach TAP at (309) 585-1117.

TAP provides:

A treatment team, comprised of Illinois State psychology faculty, graduate student clinicians, and undergraduate students, addresses the needs of children diagnosed with autism.

The Autism Place is currently funded by a grant from The Autism Program of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Human Services.  We also recieve support through ISU and private donations.  Therefore, at this time, the services are provided at no cost to families.

Illinois Budget Impact

As with many service agencies in the state of Illinois, The Autism Place is experiencing gaps in its funding streams. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please make your donation out to The Illinois State University Foundation (include TAP account 462-5457 on the memo line) and mail it to:
