Department of Psychology at Illinois State University

Academic Progress Summary

The Academic Progress Summary (APS) is the official undergraduate record of academic progress at Illinois State, including requirements for the Major in Psychology and graduation. Students can view their APS on iCampus under the Academics tab and then Academic Progress (see Progress Towards My Degree) or a printed copy can be requested in 107 Moulton Hall. The APS includes the following information:

  • General Education/IAI requirements;
  • total hours and senior hours completed and have left to complete;
  • status in completing the Constitution Exam, Writing Exam (required prior to 2008-09), and Global Studies requirements; and
  • course requirements for the Major in Psychology completed and have left to complete.

The APS needs to be periodically updated by the Psychology advisors. Some elective courses may not be recorded on the Major in Psychology plan of study. Contact the Psychology advisors by phone or e-mail to update the APS prior to Advance Registration. The following is an example of an Academic Progress Summary. It will explain how to interpret and compare the information on the APS with the requirements for the Major in Psychology.
