Research Opportunities with Psychology Faculty

Faculty at Illinois State maintain a strong commitment to undergraduate instruction and mentoring. Every semester, approximately 100 undergraduate psychology students work with faculty, either on an individual basis or in small teams, on meaningful psychological research. Students report that these opportunities are among the most valuable aspects of their educational experience. Students primarily work with psychology faculty on research projects by enrolling in PSY 290 Special Projects: Research Apprenticeship and PSY 390 Advanced Research Apprenticeship. Students may also study specialized topics, with faculty supervision, by enrolling in PSY 287 Independent Study and IDS 395.03 Honors Thesis: Psychology. The following links provide more information about several research opportunities available to students through the Research Apprenticeship Program.
