- Hands-on training for more than 50 pre-professionals in the areas of psychology, speech and language pathology, and related fields each week;
- Direct clinical services to more than 70 children with autism spectrum disorders and their families each week;
- Community resources to parents and professionals; and
- Professional trainings to day care workers, first responders, social workers, physicians and other professionals throughout the community who may come in contact with individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
A treatment team, comprised of Illinois State psychology faculty, graduate student clinicians, and undergraduate students, addresses the needs of children diagnosed with autism.
The Autism Place is currently funded by a grant from The Autism Program of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Human Services. We also recieve support through ISU and private donations. Therefore, at this time, the services are provided at no cost to families.
Illinois Budget Impact
