We will accept applications for fall 2022 admission after September 1, 2021. International students are encouraged to submit complete applications one month before the application deadline. International students should contact International Studies if you have questions about required documentation for a graduate application or admission to the University. The Department of Psychology offers the following graduate degrees:

• doctorate (Ph.D.) in school psychology (January 1 application deadline)
• specialist degree (S.S.P.) in school psychology (January 1 application deadline)
• master's degree (M.A. or M.S.) in clinical-counseling psychology (January 1 application deadline)
• master's degree (M.A. or M.S.) in psychology sequences (January 1 application deadline) for:
  • cognitive and behavioral sciences
  • developmental psychology
  • industrial/organizational-social psychology
  • quantitative psychology

The graduate curriculum focuses on specific fields of psychology. Students are encouraged to conduct research under the guidance of our faculty members. Besides the graduate curriculum, students are required to complete a clinical-counseling capstone project, specialist research apprenticeship, master's thesis, or doctoral dissertation. Our graduates qualify for state licensing examinations for private practice, may enter the workforce, or pursue advanced degrees or academic careers. Our faculty members teach undergraduate and graduate courses, are actively involved in research, and procure federal and state grants to support their research projects.
