Out of Class Experiences
Student organizations and other out of class experiences provide both undergraduate and graduate students with a multitude of opportunities to get involved with the Department of Psychology.
In contrast to many colleges and universities, faculty at Illinois State maintain a strong commitment to undergraduate instruction and mentoring. Every semester approximately 100 undergraduate students work with department faculty in their classrooms or research labs, or complete independent study. Opportunities are also available for more advanced students to complete an internship in an applied setting. Students report that these out-of-class opportunities are among the most valuable aspects of their educational experience.
